¾ cup cold sparkling water
Oil for frying

For the Slaw:

2 cups shredded cabbage
¼ cup chopped cilantro
Juice of 1 lime
Salt to taste

For the Sauce:

½ cup sour cream
2 tbsp mayonnaise
1 tbsp lime juice
1 tsp hot sauce (optional)

For Serving:

8 small tortillas
Sliced avocado
 Extra lime wedges

Instructions

Make the Slaw:
In a bowl, combine cabbage, cilantro, lime juice, and salt. Toss and set aside to lightly marinate.

Prepare the Batter:
In a separate bowl, whisk flour, paprika, garlic powder, and salt. Slowly add cold sparkling water, mixing until smooth.

Heat the Oil:
In a deep pan, heat oil to medium-high (about 350°F).

Fry the Fish:
Dip fish into the batter, let excess drip off, then carefully place into hot oil. Fry for 3–4 minutes until golden and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towel.

Make the Sauce:
Mix sour cream, mayonnaise, lime juice, and hot sauce until smooth.

Assemble the Tacos:
 Warm tortillas, add crispy fish, top with slaw, drizzle with sauce, and finish with avocado and a squeeze of lime.
