Quick and Easy Weeknight Stir-Fry

Quick and Easy Weeknight Stir-Fry

Stir-fry is the ultimate weeknight dinner. It’s fast, flavorful, and endlessly customizable, making it a go-to meal for busy evenings. With just a few fresh ingredients and the right tools, you can have dinner ready in under 30 minutes!

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 chicken breasts, sliced (or tofu/shrimp for variations)
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 carrot, thinly sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger, grated
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey or brown sugar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • Cooked rice or noodles for serving

Directions:

  1. Prep Your Ingredients
Stir-fry moves fast, so prep everything in advance. Slice the chicken and veggies, and whisk together the sauce: soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey, and sesame oil.

  2. Heat Your Wok
A non-stick wok is ideal for stir-frying because it heats quickly and evenly. Heat the oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

  3. Cook the Protein
Add chicken (or your chosen protein) to the wok. Stir frequently for 3–4 minutes until fully cooked, then set aside.

  4. Sauté the Veggies
Add a bit more oil if needed, then toss in the garlic, ginger, and veggies. Cook for 3–5 minutes, stirring often, until tender-crisp.

  5. Combine and Serve
Return the chicken to the wok, pour in the sauce, and toss to coat everything evenly. Let the sauce thicken slightly before serving.

  6. Plate and Enjoy
Serve your stir-fry over rice or noodles for a complete meal.

Pro Tips:

  • Use a sharp chef’s knife to quickly prep vegetables for even cooking.
  • A wooden spoon or silicone spatula works best for tossing ingredients without scratching the wok.
  • Customize with your favorite veggies or spice it up with chili flakes or sriracha.

This easy stir-fry is a versatile recipe you’ll come back to time and again. Healthy, delicious, and ready in no time—perfect for any weeknight.
