Easy and Delicious Oven Baked Salmon

When it comes to a weeknight dinner that feels both effortless and elegant, oven baked salmon is the perfect choice. With just a few simple ingredients and minimal prep, you can create a healthy and flavorful dish that pairs beautifully with rice, roasted veggies, or a fresh salad. This recipe delivers tender, juicy salmon with a golden, slightly crisp finish—ready in under 30 minutes!

Ingredients:

  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (or melted butter for extra richness)
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 lemon (half sliced, half juiced)
  • 1 tsp dried Italian herbs (or mix of thyme, oregano, basil)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions:

Step 1: Prep the oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.

Step 2: Season the salmon
Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil, rub with minced garlic, and squeeze lemon juice over the top. Sprinkle evenly with Italian herbs, salt, and pepper. Lay a few lemon slices over each fillet.

Step 3: Bake
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 12–15 minutes, depending on thickness. Salmon should flake easily with a fork but remain moist inside.

Step 4: Optional broil
For a slightly crispy top, switch the oven to broil for the last 2–3 minutes of cooking.

Step 5: Serve and enjoy
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately with your favorite sides like roasted potatoes, steamed asparagus, or a quinoa salad.
